Chris Moit is a neo ornamental, black and grey, fine line and geometric tattoo artist at Prana Tattoo Studio in Bondi Beach. Originally from Northwest Sydney, he completed his apprenticeship in a prominent Bondi studio and now has four years on the machine, bringing the same attention to fine detail across every scale, from a single micro-tattoo to a full back piece.
Chris designs each piece around the body it sits on, using the wearer’s natural shape to give the composition movement. Outside the studio his other practice is airbrush work on canvas, a parallel discipline that informs the tonal range and surface awareness he brings to skin.
I have been airbrushing and painting for many years prior to tattooing. I enjoy combining both crafts, and drawing on my artworks for inspiration to create beautiful, unique pieces for my clients.
