BEFORE YOU ASK…

  • This is dependant on the individual, but when following our recommended aftercare a tattoo can take between 10 to 14 days to heal.

    However it is important to note a tattoo can take a month or more to completely settle in. (This means no sun, surf, gym, swim, sauna for the time being.)

  • This is assessed on a case by case basis. Determining factors are based on the original design, colour, healing and other contributing factors. Your artist will discuss this with you in the consultation process and will only move forward if they are confident they can produce a great quality piece.

    Charlie is particularly confident in scar ‘cover up’ pieces, whereas Josh can cover smaller scars decided upon assessment. For these pieces the private consultation will assess:

    * The age of the scar. The scar needs to be completely healed and settled before the session.

    * The scar tissue. Eg. Normal, Keloid, Hypertrophic, Pitted/ Sunken, Contractured.

    * Background history. Personal, Medical etc.

    We are very conscious that these are extremely personal and private matters, and we strive to be sensitive, understanding and confidential with all of our clients shared information. Our studio is a nonjudgmental safe haven and we will address each and every case with empathy and compassion. We hope to be able to create new and beautiful memories that can celebrate our individual achievements and be a memento of what we have overcome.

  • To ensure originality and authenticity, the artist will always use your reference images as INSPIRATION ONLY!

This means that any suggestions by the artist are in the clients best interest, not only in the design concept but also to cater to each clients unique body, shape and preference. We can adapt our artistic style to suit, but will not attempt to emulate another artist’s signature style.

  • Our artists studio and process are held at the highest sanitary standard. Performed with medical grade equipment and a completely sterile environment, this process ensures that there is NO risk of infection or cross contamination whilst you are getting tattooed.

    After your initial session, it is up to the client to tend to and properly ensure the hygiene and healing of their piece. It is the responsibility of the client to follow the provided aftercare instructions. However, if you have any further questions not covered in our guide, feel free to contact us directly and we will be in touch as soon as possible. If you are experiencing an unusual reaction, please seek out further medical advice or contact your GP.

  • Necessary touch up appointments are covered for free within the FIRST MONTH of your tattoo with some exemptions:

    * below the ankle/ feet / toes

    * wrists

    * hands/ fingers/ palms/ knuckles

    These areas will require a fee, which will ALWAYS be advised within your initial consultation along with potential risks. Skin in these areas heal and retain ink differently depending on the individuals skin texture, lifestyle, sun exposure etc. making the design more susceptible to fading, warping, blurriness and bleeding.

  • Initially to ensure that there is enough allocated time in appointments, we will overestimate the quoted price to allow flexibility depending on the individual tattoo. In some cases this can mean if the piece has been completed earlier than scheduled the right amount will be amended and vice versa.

    This will ONLY apply to smaller tattoos.

    When scheduled in for larger/ full day pieces, the quote provided is non negotiable.

Remember, your tattoo also reflects the hours of work put into the design and labour whereas your deposit secures the time and ongoing correspondence.
