Josh Marx is an ornamental style tattoo artist and co-owner of Prana Tattoo Studio in Bondi Beach, working alongside fellow artist Charlie Lund. He’s built a signature practice in detailed, symmetrical ornamental work, fine or bolder lines anchored by solid black, drawing on the same eye for composition that shapes his painting practice.
Josh treats every booking as a singular collaboration: pieces designed to flow with the body they sit on, made for one person, never to be repeated.
Tattooing is a sacred practice and has a lot to do with energy exchange. I make sure each piece created is a one of one and never to be repeated, working with and accentuating the body. Making each piece more unique and suited for the individual.
I am passionate and focused on ornamental line work…fine or bolder lines with accents of solid black. Pieces that reflect the paintings I’ve created throughout my life.
